PYROCORD

PyroCord is a member of the family of fire suppressing products. It has the feature of fire detection and automatic fire extinguishing and fire announcement. The innovative PyroCord product is a cord of composite material being a mixture of microcapsules with a heating compound.

The PyroCord is a multiuse device that can be placed everywhere where there is a risk of electrical fire. It can be installed very simply by sticking it to the upper area of the volume to protect.

PyroCord is placed within the protected local space so that it is located over each potential source of fire risk. Under the effect of fire in any point on PyroCord an initiation of heating compound occurs with subsequent chemical reaction throughout its length.

The reaction is accompanied by heat discharge which results in the bursting of all microcapsules and the discharge of fire extinguishing agent to terminate immediately the fire.

To ensure mechanical strength of the product and to retain solid products of reaction the cord has fireproof gas permeable shield. The shield also bears the functional feature that it’s pitch regulates the propagation velocity of gas discharge through the length of the cord.

It can protect up to 2000 dm3 (2000 litres) and it operates in temperatures ranging from minus -50oC to +80oC with a maximum humidity of 85%.
